I too see it that as a matter of international law, the War Crimes Trials lost their validity when the Peace Treaty (San Francisco Peace Treaty) was signed and that the people referred to as so-called Class-A war criminals are not criminals either in terms of domestic or international law.
In the first place, in terms of the principles of legality, there a significant problem that the International Military Tribunal for the Far East (Tokyo Trials) passed ex post facto judgment. For that very reason Mr. Mamoru Shigemitsu and Mr. Okinori Kaya, who were both judged to be Class-A war criminals, were able to be awarded the Grand Cordon of the Order and be appointed as the Minister of Justice after being released. …
It is problematic that “the boss of Japan Teachers’ Union” Azuma Koshi-ishi, was put in the chief secretary of the DPJ. It might be a political technique to control Ozawa and Hatoyama’s group, but I am very anxious about the possibility that the boss of Japan Teachers’ Union, who has distorted Japan’s education, have a bad influence on education through taking the post of the chief secretary of the ruling party that has an enormous power.
It is not understandable that Yoko Komiyama is named as the Minister of Health, Labor, and Welfare, either. She advocates gender free and does not admit the value of family; she promotes the use of different surnames by a married couple. It is ridiculous that such a parson is designated as the chief of child-raising policy.
